Bumble Bee Barn is surrounded by glorious Somerset countryside in an edge of village setting.
This is the private deck with the super-size hot tub .The deck is surrounded by fencing and mature shrubs and is very private.
The sitting-area has luxurious antiqued leather sofas, the dining-table is in the middle of the room and the kitchen is at the far end.
The kitchen is well set out, extremely well-equipped and has unspoilt rural views from the kitchen sink! Not that you have to wash up as of course there is a dishwasher.
This is what a holiday is all about!
The open plan ground floor is spacious, bright and has French windows opening out to the garden.

The cottage is so relaxing - a real haven. Visit the local farm shop and have a wonderful supper at 'home'.
There are two wonderful squishy sofas and a deep armchair too. Plenty of choice for you all.

This is the twin bedroom. This room is very spacious and looks far across the farmland with a glimpse of the Quantock Hills in the distance.
The twin bedroom is in a generous L-shape with the beds tucked around the corner.
The bathroom offers a lovely bath or a shower if you prefer. There is a heated towel rail for toasty towels.
You will find a little basket of treats in the bathroom.

Head up into the Quantock Hills across the Vale of Taunton. This is Headford Reservoir. There is a parking/viewing point where you can take in the beautiful view.
Head west to the classic english moorland of Exmoor, with it's iconic Exmoor ponies.
Explore the North Somerset coast with it's picturesque villages and the classic seaside town of Minehead.
Catch the West Somerset Steam Train from Bishops Lydeard just a couple of miles away. A great way to explore leaving the car behind.
Just a few miles away are the Somerset Levels, with waterways buzzing with insects and the air filled with birdsong. You may even get a view of Glastonbury Tor.
The amazing beach at Kilve on the north Somerset coast. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and famous for fossils.

After a rough start to 2021 for me & my family, I was looking forward to taking my husband away for a break/change of scenery. Upon our arrival, we were definitely not disappointed, Tammy was very welcoming & the welcome pack she left us was a lovely surprise. The barn was very spacious, there was everything you needed, Tammy had certainly thought of everything. After months of lockdown & shielding & a long overdue 40th Anniversary treat I had high expectations. We drove down beautiful country lanes surrounded by golden fields in glorious April sunshine. Lucky us!! I would describe seeing Bumblebee Barn for the first time as a WOW moment!!! Stunning location offering amazing views from every window. It’s privately and peacefully set away from the main farmhouse . We had the most wonderful welcome from Tammy which actually made my day, she explained everything we needed to know & then left us to explore the barn. Another WOW moment stepping inside! Immaculate in presentation & cleanliness. Well done Tammy you clearly work very hard maintaining that standard. Extremely comfortable, spacious, warm & cosy & homely. Tammy had left us beautiful flowers & delicious shortbread along with bread , butter, milk etc which was unexpected and very much appreciated, thank you. I was super impressed by the immaculate hot tub, fresh water for every new guests, perfect for star gazing & also by the extra Covid cleaning within the barn. We loved touring around Somerset, especially Bossington to Porlock walk, East Quantockhead walk, Dunster Castle, Hestercombe Garden. But actually we couldn’t wait to return home to the barn each day. Great farm shop by the train station. An outstanding property !! Thank you we loved every minute as you can tell. I’d book two weeks if I were you as you probably won’t want to leave after one!! X...

We received a very warm welcome from Tammy, the owner, on arrival and she gave us a demonstration of how to operate the hot tub, heating system etc - which was very helpful. The cottage had everything we needed and we enjoyed cooking for ourselves in the well equipped kitchen. The outside space was great , as were the views across the fields to the hills beyond. The additional luxury of the hot tub was superb - it was easy to operate and we enjoyed relaxing in it in the evenings whilst star gazing! The property was on the edge of the lovely village of Halse and it was about a ten minute walk to the excellent New Inn. There were plenty of great places to visit nearby and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the beautiful area of West Somerset....
