Have stayed in Crantock before, many times, so we knew Forge Cottage before we booked but didn't know it was available for holidays. Brilliant location as central to village, beach and access to coastal path. Use Crantock as it's near many of our favourite walks. Cottage was very cosy & the best equipped that we have stayed in and we've used lots of rentals. Very near our favourite pub the Albion Inn, which we used for Sunday Lunch and afternoon beers during our two weeks. When we return to Cornwall we would love to stay here again....

As older clients we do prefer brochures but know that they are in the past.

What a wonderful place to stay with everything you need on the doorstep. Comfortable , cosy and really well equipped.

Lovely well equipped and spacious cottage in perfect location just 5 mins to beach and a minute to pubs and shop. Parking space is ok even for a largish vehicle. Some issues due ti the age of the building but this would not stop me returning as everything else was so good . No garden which we knew but there was enough space to sit outside at the side of the car . ...

Forge Cottage had a missing ridge tile causing a leak into the double bedroom. The housekeeper did mention it to us upon arrival and that she was trying to sort a roofer to deal with it. However, with all the wet weather, including Storm Ciaron, this leak meant us having to put a bucket by the bed to catch the water. The cottage was unbearably damp, with wet and mouldy windows and the air blow heating was not sufficient to dry out the property from the roof leak. The windows could not be opened to allow air to circulate either. There were only skylights which with the rain, could not be opened either. We ended up leaving early as we could not bare staying there any longer. The housekeeper did her best, but this property should not have been let out to us with the roof leaking into the bedroom where we had to sleep....

We were so sorry to hear of this and we just want to reassure you that this was not an ongoing issue that we had been aware of in order to discuss the impact on your booking before your arrival. Unfortunately, the tile had come down, and being right in the middle of some horrendous weather, roofers were not able to safely repair this straight away. Sadly, with all the wind and rain, the windows could not be opened to air the property at the time either. We have been in touch since to discuss this with you further and offer our apologies, but we would again like to stress that we were so sorry for the very unfortunate timing of this. The owner and we completely appreciate that this was a far from ideal situation, but they have since confirmed that the repair is complete, and the property dried out and back to how guests would expect.
