Had a great stay at Goonreeve. An older style property, nonetheless perfect for our visit and a wonderful secure garden for the dogs.

We had a lovely family week at Goonreeve Farmhouse. It worked well with two small children.

We really love staying at Goonreeve House, we’ve stayed a few times as we really love the peaceful location. We always feel so at home and we never want to leave - neither do our dogs! The enclosed woodland garden is a massive bonus as we can sit outside and relax and let our dogs have their freedom to play safely. Its location is perfect for all the places we like to visit, it’s just a stones throw from the main road to Falmouth and Truro (and only 15 minutes drive to the wonderful Trelissick National Trust estate ) but you wouldn’t know it when you’re in the garden, it feels like you’re away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Lucy is a lovely host and the scones, jam and cream are a really nice welcome after a long journey! We very much hope to return next year....

We agree, a wonderfully tranquil place which is perfect for a family get together. We would love to welcome you back to Cornwall very soon. Sarah R, Customer Support

Lucy was very welcoming and we were very thankful for the cream tea and milk in the fridge waiting for us. I asked for 2 extra towels and she was very accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable and I didn’t want to get out of mine each morning! Shower was hot and good pressure. Some people might not like the traditional furniture but we loved it and felt that it all fitted the period of the cottage beautifully….although the sofa was a little ‘sunk’ and perhaps could do with some TLC. There were plenty of games in the chest of drawers for rainy days. The kitchen was well equipped although we found the mugs a bit small and donated a larger one. It didn’t matter to us being only 2 of us, but there was insufficient numbers of forks and dessert spoons; I’m sure Lucy checks and would sort that out for new occupants. The garden is huge and must be stunning in the summer; wonderful that it is enclosed too and so our dogs could be out playing without any worry. The cottage is within easy access to Penryn with it’s shops and pubs which we found to be good. Also Mylor and the pub at Restronguet were easy to get to. Great place to stay to explore around the Roseland peninsula. We would definitely visit Goonreeve again. Just a perfect stay....
