Detached Moles Cottage - much bigger than it seems from the front. Moles Cottage in its lovely village setting a short drive from the Saxon town of Shaftesbury, in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.There is a truly welcoming open plan living area with an open fire, huge sofas - a wonderful sociable room for entertaining and relaxing.
 
Another view of this period cottage, now totally refurbished to an extremely high standard.The kitchen-area is cheerful, contemporary, and very much integrated with the open plan living space.The dining-area has enough seating for 16 - the two tables can be set up together for a wonderful family occasion.
 
The living area glows with the light from the open fire.This lovely quirky clock on the kitchen wall is a great feature and a reminder that just next door is the renowned Museum Inn!All the bedrooms have names - bedroom 1, Mole, is a very comfortable ground floor bedroom with a pretty bay window.
 
The bedrooms are all decorated individually - with comfort and style in mind.All the bedrooms have en suite facilities, with striking white tiles and contemporary fittings. This bedroom has a wet-room shower.Bedroom 2, Badger, has a double bed, calm colours and as with all the bedrooms, a good range of lighting choices.
 
This bedroom also has an en suite wet-room.There are welcoming details throughout Moles Cottage.Bedroom 3, Water Vole, on the first floor, has 'zip and link' (double or twin) beds and looks out to the front and side of the cottage.

You can really treat yourself by ordering meals to be brought over to the cottage!There is a large private parking-area at the front of the cottage - plenty of room for eight cars.
 
At the back of the cottage there is a patio and private enclosed garden with plenty of outside seating for all. Take care of the steps.The Museum Inn is next door but Moles Cottage has its own entrance, parking and complete privacy (and a secret garden door to the pub!) Farnham is an idyllic village on the edge of the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Moles Cottage is a superb detached period property in the picturesque Dorset village of Farnham, on the edge of the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Created in partnership with the neighbouring Museum Inn – a highly renowned pub and restaurant – guests can make the most of the fabulous menu and wine list by ordering meals at the cottage or enjoying the dining-room and friendly atmosphere of the pub. This is an exceptional thatched cottage for family holidays and special occasions. All eight unique and stylishly decorated bedrooms have en suite facilities, and the two second floor bedrooms (unavailable at the lower rent band) have low beds to suit the sloping ceilings and free-standing roll-top baths. There is a large welcoming living-area with great big sofas and a huge open fireplace, a grand dining-table and luxury kitchen with a top of the range Rangemaster cooker. French windows lead to the sheltered patio behind the house and there are steps up to the enclosed garden (please take care with children as there is a drop from the garden to the patio). This area of north Dorset offers beautiful walks and plenty of sites of historic interest; Sherborne’s two castles, the magical ruins of Wardour Castle, Salisbury Cathedral and Shaftesbury itself, an ancient Saxon town with Gold Hill, famed as the location of the Hovis bread commercial. Longleat Safari Park and the National Trust gardens at Stourhead are not far to the north, or head south for a day’s outing to Poole harbour, the Studland peninsula’s sandy beaches and the dramatic scenery of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. The lower price band applies from 1 January to 25 June and from 6 November to 14 December for parties of 12 + cot or less. Please note that the changeover times are 5pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
