Purtington Barn Cottage, converted from a 19th Century barn and creamery, enjoys a tranquil rural setting bordering the Cricket St Thomas estate close to the Somerset, Dorset and east Devon borders. Set in 14 acres of beautiful farmland, this is a perfect base for enjoying the lovely countryside, Somerset’s wealth of historic houses and Dorset’s stunning World Heritage Jurassic coastline. The cottage, adjoining the Owner’s home, is presented to a very high standard and feels completely private. The living area has two sets of French windows (low lintels, so do take care) onto the patio. Both spacious bedrooms overlook the grounds and the farmland beyond. Enjoy the stream-side seat at the bottom of the garden (there is a drop from the garden), find the Victorian overshot water wheel and stroll in the conservation meadow to watch the wildlife. There is private water supply, regularly tested. Please note that the changeover times are 4pm on arrival and 10am on departure.
