Polperro is an evocatively historic Cornish fishing village with cottages perched on steep hills around a tiny harbour and streets so narrow that visitors’ cars must be left outside the village (although Alarra provides parking for guests). Little restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops are around every corner, and sailing trips from the harbour give spectacular coastal views. Alarra is a contemporary ground floor apartment with only the Owners’ seldom-used holiday home above. Floor to ceiling windows in the large living-room look down through the steeply terraced garden and bordering stream to the village below.
