Aveton is perfect for pulling together the generations of family or friends, and is ideal for celebrating Christmas and New Year. Beautiful Aveton lies in a lovely Devonshire valley a few miles from the coast and is set within 134 acres, and partly dating back centuries, this is now a spacious, contemporary home. At its heart is a farmhouse-style kitchen/diner with a four oven Aga (a combination microwave is also provided) and French doors leading out to a terrace with marvellous valley views. The kitchen table seats ten to twelve, and there is room for twelve round the adjacent dining-room's extendable table. Downstairs are a bedroom (or snug) and steps down two living-rooms, the sitting-room equipped with a home cinema, Nintendo Wii and satellite television and the drawing-room a quiet place to relax. Beside the main house and down some stone steps, is a small one-bedroom annexe for two; further along, set into the hill, is Aveton Cottage, with its upper floor living-room and two lower floor en suite bedrooms - but unlike the farmhouse not suitable for children under five. Outside are woodlands and riverside walks, and a fabulous indoor heated swimming pool complete with small gym and games-room.
